Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?

Do you ever have your hair done for a wedding?

Do they always wash your hair before styling it?Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?
If it makes you feel better to have your hair professionally styled, go for it. Personally, I think it's a waste of money, since everyone will be looking at the bride, not you. You might as well just do your hair at home as you normally would.

And to answer your other question, I find that if you wash your hair the day before you style it, it works better. Second-day hair seems to be best for holding curl or being flatironed, and also it works better for updos too.Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?
No, it's not necessary to have your hair washed before getting it styled unless you have an awful lot of oil or hair product (stiff hair spray, heavily applied mousse, hardened gel, excessive moisturizer) that would prevent the hair stylist from properly and effectively styling your hair. You can cut the expenses just by showing up with clean, unstyled hair with little to no hair product in it.

I have had my hair styled many times at a salon, and I have never had it washed prior to it being styled.
Yeah, usually i'll get my hair done at the salon for special occasions. You can either wash your own hair, get it dried and let the hair stylist style it for you or you can just go just like that . Anyway, your hair is gonna be having tons of hair spray.. after styling, you have to wash it immediately after you're back. normal hair salons won't wash your hair unless you request them to do so ( that would be additional charged)
It's better to go into the salon with 1-day hair. As in, it's been at least one day since you've washed it. Hair that's just a little dirty is easier to style.

My hair was washed before my wedding, but I also have mine straightened. I would recommend calling the salon, let them know the texture and length of your hair and how you want it done, and ask for their recommendation.
If you're in the wedding party, yes! It's just nice to look your best when you're standing up and representing a friend at her wedding. You want to look nice in the pictures.

As for myself, I've never been in a wedding party. As a guest, I've never gone out and had my hair professional styled just for a wedding. I'll do something special at home.

On one occasion, I scheduled my regular, routine hair cut and color for the same day I was attending a wedding. My hairdresser put in a few curls and made it a little different, because I told him I had a wedding to go to later that day. But, he didn't charge me, because I was already getting my hair cut and colored.

P.S.-When you get her hair styled at the salon, it's best if it's a little dirty. So, if the wedding is Saturday, I'd probably wash my hair Friday morning. That way, it gets a little dirty, which adds a little texture to hold the style.
if you are part of the bridal party it would be a nice thing.. just make sure it is different to the brides. but if you are just a guest, then you probably shouldn't.. it just seems like a bit much for a wedding you're not actually part of and it could come across as offensive.
Are you in the wedding or just a guest? You don't need to get your hair styled if you are a guest-you aren't trying to outshine the bride are you? Just do your hair yourself.
When I had my hair done before my wedding at a really upscale place, they did not wash it first. I washed it the night before and they did all the rest at the salon.
