Lol, get him a facial. And like, layers in his hair or something.

Or maybe a perm, since it's long enough x) get him hot pink nails and do his eyebrows skinny i guess. Smokey eye makeup sounds good. Foundation, definitely. put blush on him or something. and eyelash extentions.

ohh god he'll be tormented for months ahead.
I dont think a real man would let u do it thats just plain wrong but while u got him there u should get him a haircut so he will look like a man
yeah right your ';friend lost a bet';....if you are a crossdresser you should just say so

Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?

Do you ever have your hair done for a wedding?

Do they always wash your hair before styling it?Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?
If it makes you feel better to have your hair professionally styled, go for it. Personally, I think it's a waste of money, since everyone will be looking at the bride, not you. You might as well just do your hair at home as you normally would.

And to answer your other question, I find that if you wash your hair the day before you style it, it works better. Second-day hair seems to be best for holding curl or being flatironed, and also it works better for updos too.Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?
No, it's not necessary to have your hair washed before getting it styled unless you have an awful lot of oil or hair product (stiff hair spray, heavily applied mousse, hardened gel, excessive moisturizer) that would prevent the hair stylist from properly and effectively styling your hair. You can cut the expenses just by showing up with clean, unstyled hair with little to no hair product in it.

I have had my hair styled many times at a salon, and I have never had it washed prior to it being styled.
Yeah, usually i'll get my hair done at the salon for special occasions. You can either wash your own hair, get it dried and let the hair stylist style it for you or you can just go just like that . Anyway, your hair is gonna be having tons of hair spray.. after styling, you have to wash it immediately after you're back. normal hair salons won't wash your hair unless you request them to do so ( that would be additional charged)
It's better to go into the salon with 1-day hair. As in, it's been at least one day since you've washed it. Hair that's just a little dirty is easier to style.

My hair was washed before my wedding, but I also have mine straightened. I would recommend calling the salon, let them know the texture and length of your hair and how you want it done, and ask for their recommendation.
If you're in the wedding party, yes! It's just nice to look your best when you're standing up and representing a friend at her wedding. You want to look nice in the pictures.

As for myself, I've never been in a wedding party. As a guest, I've never gone out and had my hair professional styled just for a wedding. I'll do something special at home.

On one occasion, I scheduled my regular, routine hair cut and color for the same day I was attending a wedding. My hairdresser put in a few curls and made it a little different, because I told him I had a wedding to go to later that day. But, he didn't charge me, because I was already getting my hair cut and colored.

P.S.-When you get her hair styled at the salon, it's best if it's a little dirty. So, if the wedding is Saturday, I'd probably wash my hair Friday morning. That way, it gets a little dirty, which adds a little texture to hold the style.
if you are part of the bridal party it would be a nice thing.. just make sure it is different to the brides. but if you are just a guest, then you probably shouldn't.. it just seems like a bit much for a wedding you're not actually part of and it could come across as offensive.
Are you in the wedding or just a guest? You don't need to get your hair styled if you are a guest-you aren't trying to outshine the bride are you? Just do your hair yourself.
When I had my hair done before my wedding at a really upscale place, they did not wash it first. I washed it the night before and they did all the rest at the salon.

Do they always wash your hair before styling it?Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?
I had my hair styled when I was in a wedding, but I had to wash it myself first. Unless you specifically ask them at the salon to wash your hair, they will only schedule enough time to do the style.

As a guest, I wouldn't waste my money having someone style my hair. I can do it well enough myself to go to a semi-formal even when I'm not one of the guests of honor.Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?
They never wash it first. Dirty hair styles better. They aren't going to want you to wash it, either. Wash it the night before.
STOP REPEATING ASKING THE SAME QUESTION OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

I mean its a HAIR STYLE for crying out loud, its not that big a deal. GEEZ, you'd think you would be happy with the answers from the first 4 times you asked this.
When I had my hair done before my wedding at a really upscale place, they did not wash it first. I washed it the night before and they did all the rest at the salon.
I wouldn't go to that much trouble and expense unless I was actually in the wedding, but that's just my opinion.
I've never had my hair styled when I was a guest at a wedding. As bridesmaid I did, but I also did not when I was a bride! I know, weird....I had this odd fixation that she'd put too much hair spray in it and I'd look like a Barbie doll.

But I washed it the day before.
When I got married, the salon I went to specialized in wedding hairstyles - and the stylist asked me to please wash my hair early that morning beforehand (my appt was at noon) because it would be easier to style. And he was right - so I highly recommend you do the same thing.
I've had my hair done at a salon before a wedding before--not on purpose but because I was due for a hair appointment and it was convenient.

If styling though, they do not wash your hair and they usually ask that you don't wash it the day of either. Dirty hair styles much better than freshly washed hair.

Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?

Do you ever have your hair done for a wedding?

You asked this about 2 weeks ago.Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?
You don't need to go to a salon to wash your hair, just take a nice long hot shower, was your hair and put conditioner in. Then you can go to a salon after it is mostly dry and have it styled. Salons like quick cuts I know have formal choices.
your hair is easier styled when it is a tad bit dirty.

most stylists recommend your hair not being washed the da you want it styled. The day before is usually preferred.
It's seperate but I'm having the whole shibang on my wedding day. I want the whole right out of the salon experience for my wedding :)
You ask this question every night and get the same response.

ThanksMy friend is looking for a job as a hairdresser in Dubai , anybody have any contact details for any salons ?
Without any offense, for this low paid job your friend has to get in contact with a recruitment agency in your/his home country which hires people for work in the UAE.

You/he also can contact salons located in Dubai's hotels directly by visiting the web pages of the hotels. (Surf the net).

  • A friend of mine is a hairdresser and works in an upscale salon. A 45 yr old guy named Patrick walked?

through the salon %26amp; she looked up %26amp; said hi. He said he needed to make an appt. (this salon never gets walk-ins) He came back in a cab for his ';moisturizing treatment'; %26amp; told Kristy that he's always lived w/ his mom, but she recently died %26amp; left him $3,000,000.00. She asked why he doesn't have a car %26amp; he said he always takes a cab, but needs someone to help him because he forgets to pay his bills. Right now, he doesn't have electricity. Kristy %26amp; a friend took him home one day to see what he meant by needing help. She said the house was so nasty that she went back outside. She said he comes to the salon wkly for conditioning treatments %26amp; she's glad so she can wash his hair. One time they went back in his room %26amp; he sleeps on a twin bed. There were clear plastic bags w/ napkins w/ brown stuff on them. He claims to have 5 brothers, but we don't know if it's true b/c he lies. Kristy said she feels sorry for him and wants to help by getting his house clean and taking him to the store.A friend of mine is a hairdresser and works in an upscale salon. It sounds so absurd, the 3 mil might just be a hook to reel unsuspecting naive young women into his web. If he is living in squalor and his brothers are not aware then are the bros for real? Walk away from this guy before he hurts someone.

Or do some research into his past.A friend of mine is a hairdresser and works in an upscale salon. A 45 yr old guy named Patrick walked?
I think there are other people who should be doing that for him, not his hair dresser. Call an agency who does this professionally.

My friend left my daughter ALONE to go to the tanning salon?

I've known my friend for about 6 months now. We don't have a whole lot in common, but I always thought she was responsible.

She is a single mother to three children that are 9, 7, and 3 years old. Her 9 year old daughter asked my 8 year old daughter if she wanted to sleep over. My friend said it was perfectly fine by her, so I left my daughter there.

I thought everything went fine during the sleepover. It wasn't until recently (a few weeks later) that my daughter casually dropped a bomb on me.

My friend went to the tanning salon for a few hours and left her children and my daughter alone at her house. This really shocked me. How can you leave a 9,8, and 7 year old in charge of a 3 year old while you are out getting a tan? If something had happened to any of them (someone got hurt, started a fire, etc.) I doubt any of them would have known how to handle it.

I've never left my daughter alone in her entire life. I was pretty ticked off that my friend would make that decision for me. I think it was completely out of line and extremely irresponsible of her especially when I trusted her to take care of my child. It is one thing if she wants to leave her own kids alone, but don't leave mine alone if you agreed to be in charge of her.

I haven't said anything to my friend yet about the situation. But the more I think about it, the angrier I get. I'm not even sure that I want to be friends with her anymore.

She has broken my trust and has made me question her parenting abilities. Part of me wants to just break off the friendship while the other part wants to give her another chance.

As a parent, what would you do in the situation? Do you think it is enough to tell her that what I think she did was wrong? Or would you not be able to forgive her?

    Thanks!

P.S. I already made the decision that my daughter is not staying over there without my supervision regardless of whatever I choose. My friend left my daughter ALONE to go to the tanning salon?
It sounds to me like your mind is already made up. This irresponsible woman makes you mad- and rightly so! If anyone had ever left my daughter in that dangerous situation I would have called her up and told her to stay the HELL away from my kids and called CPS. I would break off the friendship immediately. Being friends with someone like that is just asking for trouble.

***az_mommm: would it have been a ';miniscule thing to get worked up over'; if her daughter had been assaulted, or kidnapped, killed in a fire, or stuck in a situation where one of the younger children needed medical attention? You do NOT leave children home alone, ever. this is not a miniscule thing***My friend left my daughter ALONE to go to the tanning salon?
Omg ... to go tanning??? how irresponsible! I'm kind of a big mouth, I would end up saying something to her. I would also tell her 9 year old that if she is ever left in the house alone again to call me.
I agree with you, she should not have done that it is very irresponsible and if anyone was to find out she was doing that she would probably get her children taken away from her. I would confront her about this.
Wow! I would definitely mention it to your friend and let her know that this is pretty dangerous for her children. Some parents just don't think! You have every reason to question her parenting ability.

You certainly have control of your own child and I would NEVER allow my child over to her house again....unless I were there as well.

**az-mommm** Are you serious? No big deal? Dear God what are YOU thinking? I certainly question YOUR parenting ability if you actually believe this is not a big deal! C'mom!
i would call child services really because if she can leave a friend's daughter alone without supervision for maybe 2 hours just try to guess how many times she has left her own kids alone and who knows for how many hours
this is totally irresponsible behaviour. I would sever the friendship and only tell her why if she asks. Try to encourage your daughter to make new friends.
Honestly, at this point the real issue is protecting HER children. If she left them alone when your child was there, it must be something that is pretty common in that home. It is not appropriate at all to leave children that age alone for any length of time, and particularly they should NOT be left to care for younger kids. Call the Child Protective Services immediately.

I know that sounds harsh, but one of these days something bad is going to happen if the situation is not corrected. Imagine how you would feel if the house burned down and those children died while their mother was out messing around...and you could have prevented it.
I would be absolutely furious too! Definitely have a talk with her and explain that you are not okay with what happened. What she did was very neglectful...and she extended that to your child without your knowledge! I would have just assumed as well that no mother would leave her own children alone like that, let alone mine! I'd let it be known that the kids are invited to your house and just turn down all further invites from them. That is so not okay. Anything could have happened to those kids!
Well the P.S goes without saying. that's really irresponsible. Now im NOT saying your daughter is a lier( its just that 8 years old don't have a great concept of time) but in the interest of fairness when bringing the subject up with your friend just say ';___(daughters name) told me....'; and calmly restate her story. then give her a chance to explain. tell her that you don't want to believe it but you had to ask to en-shore your daughters safety and all that.
I would definitely confront her about it and probably cut off the friendship. That shows extremely poor judgment and anything could have happened. Anything still CAN happen if she continues with such risky behavior with her own children, sad to say. You might even go so far as to call Children's Services on her, because honestly, it could come down to a life or death situation involving her children.

Seriously - if you continue the friendship, no more unsupervised visits. I don't know how I would do it, though, because I'd be worried sick about her own kids and their safety.
Yep. Have had this happen by a mother I trusted. She left my 9 year old (at the time) and her friend while she went to the store. I was really upset. Especially because I felt like since I'm a sahm anyway- the girls could have just as easily came to my house and they wouldn't have to be left alone.

I talked to the mom about it. She apologized and said she always leaves her daughter and assumed everyone did, at that age.

I didn't push the issue with her but my daughter can't go there anymore. Instead the girl comes to our house.

Oh and my husband was just absolutely livid. He was ready to call the mom and just give her a piece of his mind. I wouldn't let him do it, though. I didn't want to cause problems between my daughter and her friend. Basically, after I spoke with her, I completely let the issue slide (all the while letting my daughter know she should call me if something like that ever happens again).

Just let the girl come to your house.
Wow! I have a 7, 5, and 3 year old and never in my life would I dream of leaving my 7 year old home alone with her sisters! That is wrong. And if she felt the need to go tanning she should have done the right thing and called you. I agree I would confront her about this, I would do it in a decent way though. Just simply stating the facts and the what if's could be enough! She doesn't sound very responsible!!
Wow, blow things out of proportion much?

I would hate to have you for a friend... it would suck to know you could hold so much animosity without even talking to me about things, as a friend should.

I think if she ever really was your friend you should bring it up casually with her. Tell her in a loving way that it really bothered you that it happened and you just wanted to talk to her about it to ensure it won't happen again. Let her know you understand she feels okay with her children being home alone, but your daughter has never dealt with that and you don't think she is ready to handle everything that could go wrong.

And in the meantime figure out who or why you are really so upset, because this is much to miniscule to be so worked up over it.

I need an e-mail address for my friend in Negril. Her name is Marsha and she has a salon called Glamour City.?

    marsha@glamourcity.com

yeah i think it is that one

My friend said that hair gel from a place like CVS is the exact same as it is from a salon. WRONG!! Where do.?

This hair gel that i got from CVS sucks! and my friend said its the same from a salon.

The stuff from CVS dosent stay. all of it like evaporates or something, it dosent even hold up my hair. its pointless. when someone from a salon put some in my hair it was way better, like it actually made the hair stay and it didnt come out by just rubbing it. it was like cement kinda. BUT it smelled like girls!!! So i dont want it.

SO, where do you get your jellies?

    Salon or CVS?

And do you agree with me that there is a diference in quality!!My friend said that hair gel from a place like CVS is the exact same as it is from a salon. WRONG!! Where do.?
Yeah there can be a difference in quality. If you don't like the smell you could always spray some Cologne on your hair. Just try something different till you find something you like, Read labels to see if it's something you can try. I think it's rite aid that will take it back if you don't like it.My friend said that hair gel from a place like CVS is the exact same as it is from a salon. WRONG!! Where do.?
Get the kind from the salon, even though it is more expensive, What is wrong with smelling like a girl anyway? Girls think it smells good, who cares, it is not like anyone is coming up to you and purposefully sniffing your head.
I totally agree with you. There is a big difference between salon and shop products. At salon, gels, shampoos and masks are much better. I always buy my haircare products at salon, but some of my friends say there is no difference.

If you are worried about your hair and have the money, go ahead and make an appointment to have it done for the wedding. I've gotten my hair done for weddings on several occasions and they normally tell you to come into the salon with clean, dry hair so they can just get to work with styling. That has been my experience anyway. When you call to make an appointment you can ask about it.Should I have my HAIR WASHED and STYLED at the SALON before attending my friend's wedding?
When i had my hair done for my wedding, and for my best friend's wedding, both times the stylist said to come in with my hair dry and clean, but not washed the same day. Really clean (ie same day wash) hair is harder to put up, because the natural oils make the hair a bit grippier and easier for the styling products (mousse, gel, hairspray, etc) to hang on to.

In general, if i'm going to any special event wedding or otherwise, i don't bother getting a salon styled hairdo. If its a really fancy event, i'll do a practice run with a fancy style before hand and then spend the time doing my own hair the day of. If its not a fancy event (not expected to wear fancy or floor length gowns), which includes most of the weddings i go to i just do my usual wash and tidy style.
Wedding are fun occasions to dress up %26amp; get your hair done. If you want to go to the salon, go! Guest have a right to look good too! Just know what you want first before going so you don't end up paying a lot.

Just a suggestion but DON'T cut your hair the day of the wedding. You don't want to look completely different in pictures %26amp; if you hate it, you cant change it. I know how people love makeovers but not the day of.
If you are going to be just a guest, it isn't necessary to have your hair done at a salon unless you want to. And I'm sure they always wash it before styling it.

My friend said that hair gel from a place like CVS is the exact same as it is from a salon. WRONG!! Where do.?

Cmere and let me paint you with this paint and brush. Your tan will last longerMy friend is gonna spray tan me, with this tan in a can from a salon? Did you ever !!!!!?
    it's better than skin cancer......
no,im permantly tan but i see girls with spray tanks look orange...
Yeah, be careful around your knees, elbows %26amp; ankles. They tend to get darker than the other parts.
I've never tried it but I have gotten spray tanned at the salon. People told me there is a cheese smell and they were right. It does look kind of orange for the first day. They say to tan in the bed first and then get the spray.
tan in a can, hahaha. it always turns out orange... i prefer the tan in a bottle, you know the ones mixed with lotion? that way it is really subtle and gradual and looks more natural.
My sister and her daughters did.

It works fine...just be sure you get 'full' coverage.

    Good luck.
    No...and I wouldn't try it.
I don't like it.I use the tanning bed
I've never done it i just go to the tanning bed or lay outside in the sun so i don't turn out orange.

I got my hair done a while back and i hated it!! my friend gets her hair done at the same salon but by someone?

else.. is it wrong if i go to her person.. what if i run into the girl who messed up my hair...I got my hair done a while back and i hated it!! my friend gets her hair done at the same salon but by someone?
no its ur hair and its the hair dresser job to make it look good if she cant switch your hair should always look good!I got my hair done a while back and i hated it!! my friend gets her hair done at the same salon but by someone?
i'd go to your friends person 8]
make an appointment with that person, i do it all the time
No. It may be uncomfortable for you, seeing the person you weren't pleased with, but you can call ahead to the girl you want, and explain tactfully what happened, and that you wanted to try her out.
It's not wrong. This happened to me too and my hair stylist understood she messed up and that I didn't want that to happen again. It's totally fine to go to another stylist!
Go to the person that you like most!

The one who messed up your hair won't take it offensively.

She probably doesn't even remember you, unless you go often.

You won't have to talk to her or anything, just smile and act nice.

But I doubt you'll see her, the two women probably work different shifts.

In that case, you can claim that the women who messed up your hair did not have convenient work hours for you, so you had to go to a different stylist.

Don't sweat it, I go to the same salon every now and then and I never go back to the same person, I like my options! [:
ive had to do the same thing...

you can just switch if you really need to....

Please help! My friend got her hair dyed at the salon...?

And the girl who dyed it put red streaks in her hair and platinum blonde streaks next to each red one. My friend washed her hair and when she dried it we noticed her platinum blonde streaks are pink now! Why is this happening and what should she do? Please help? Its the first wash after she got it dyed and now its pink. Please help! My friend got her hair dyed at the salon...?
Try putting some lemon juice on the blonde streaks. Go outside let let the sun work its magic. Please help! My friend got her hair dyed at the salon...?
I agree go back asap. Your stylist should have talked to you about the possibilities of bleeding. It happens a lot and she should have told you to wash with cooler water and super gentle shampoo.... she didn't rinse out all the extra red dye and now it is bleeding into your blonde
well i dont think your supposed to wash ur hair, they usually do that for you, i guess you didn't leave the dye on long enough to set in. i'd say go bac to the hair stylist and ask if she/he can do anything to fix it :) otherwise u could just leave it or dye it againn.... ohhh and go back soon, cuz if u wait to long they might charge you to fix it. so go bac tomorrow :)

Please help, my hair is breaking off and i don't know what to do? My friend who works at a salon stopped by?

Saturday and noticed my hair had alot of gold in it from previous highlights so she told me she had her supplies in her car and that she would fix it up. So she applied bleach %26amp; 40 volume in foils to my already blonde hair with gold streaks. She said 40 volume would make it lift faster and that is a salon formula so it is ok..well now i am noticing breakage on top. And when I comb my hair alot falls out. Is this something that is going to continually happen? Even if i continue to deep condition and stay away from heating products and take care of my hair will it continue to snap off? I am afraid i am already starting to look like Alfalfa. Should i still wash it every day or try not to at all?

Please any professional advice would be appreciated!!!Please help, my hair is breaking off and i don't know what to do? My friend who works at a salon stopped by?

My friend is a illegal alien, hair salon owner.?

She's been living here for 18 years, pays taxes, she came here as a tourist and her visa expired. She has a social security card. Her business is succesful, and makes around $100,000 a year. How can she become a permanent resident? What kind of visa can she get?My friend is a illegal alien, hair salon owner.?
I think that this is a bogus question. If she was making $100,000 a year...you wouldn't be on here asking what she should do...she woudl already have a lawyer.

Rich people do not have a hard time becoming legal. It's a fact...our government can and is bought! My friend is a illegal alien, hair salon owner.?
She's a stinking criminal. Do the right thing and report her to the authorities. That is unless you don't give a rat's you-know-what about the law, your country and your fellow Americans.
Call the Immigration department and tell them the whole story and where her shop is I'm sure they'll just run one right on over to her. Tell me if a guy makes around $100,000 a year and oh I don't know goes on vacation and say robs a bank,it's okay because he has a social security and has lived her all his life right? I mean he's not breaking the law or anything is he? How will we keep him out of prison and able to stay free?
She needs to see an attorney who specializes in Immigration. Good luck to her.
ASK HER IF SHE IS YOUR FRIEND
If she is making over 100,000 a year surely she can afford a lawyer to handel the case.
Here the right answer for u !

No way she could be legal since her visa has expired. Once ur visa expires, the only way to get another one is to apply again, but it has to be done in the country of origin ,at the US Embassy.

She can't apply here in the States(it is the law). Chances are she will not be approved cuz she has a bad history of breaking the INS law when she overstayed her visa.

Sorry to break for u the bad news, but it's the truth.

No matter how rich she is, still would not make a difference to the immigration even if she hires expensive Lawyers.
She'll prob. need to get a lawer. My mom is having a hard time getting her green card and she had children born here. Since 9/11 its much harder.
Someone would have to petition her. It doesn't sound like she has any other option.
It depends. What is her name and where does she live?

There are visas for business owners and investors. That is one reason a lot of small businesses are owned by aliens.

If she has been here for 18 years (came after the last amnesty!) and has not gotten legal, there is a reason.

    Most likely a crime.

maybe. why don't you ask them.

What kind of gift do I give a friend who is opening a new small business (Hair Salon)?

engraved cutting scissors? Or a subscription to one of those magazines that have a lot of hair styles in them that are always lying around salons? What kind of gift do I give a friend who is opening a new small business (Hair Salon)?
lucky charms that she could put as decorations i guess. What kind of gift do I give a friend who is opening a new small business (Hair Salon)?
Anything from Breezy Beach Wear. You could get her a cute selection of silk flower hair clips to wear in her salon or some fun beach jewelry.

    Check it out at www.breezybeachwear.com
Buy a swall wicker basket and fill it with some hand and face towels. A hair salon can never have enough of those. If you have a bigger budget, a nice ceramic hair iron/straightener would be a good gift to get...good luck!
shampoo, duh, thats wut i wud give
Something for the business as this is the only thing she is thinking of.

See what she is missing. Magazine rack, Neon open sign, flower baskets for the phone/desk. Maybe a gift certificate to the store where she buys her products, etc.

I would steer clear of basic gifts like clippers, new scissors, etc as these are her trade tools and would be very finiky on her choices.

Another neat gift would be to get her a custom rug with her business name on it. Find a local rug/linen company and go from there. Locally we have Cintas that handles uniforms, towels, rugs. They will even custom imprint your logo on a mat. Be nice for her front door as customers walk in.

    Think along those lines
Fresh flowers to make the place nice! (don't forget a vase)
how about a nice plant to sit by the window or door . or some salon magazines for the customers (maybe a subcription).good luck . p\s maybe pictures for the wall of differant hair styles you can get them out of a magazine and frame them shouldn't cost much.
Thats an esy one, just get her a whole bunch of hair supplise!!!!!!
    desk calander

    appointment book

    clock

    memo pad

    telephone call notice book

    answering machine

    coffee pot/tea pot

    index cards and box to track customers and their ';care';
    Potted Plant , of course.

They will last longer than flowers and it will be enjoyed by many for a long time to come!
If you want to give something for the shop, a potted plant is the traditional grand opening gift for a small business that serves the public.

If you want to give a thoughtful private gift, and your friend is also going to be one of the stylists in the salon, he/she is going to be on his/her feet, with his/her arms raised all day, so a back or foot massager or even a pair of super comfy slippers for after hours might be an appreciated and oft used gift.
    a comb
A plant. Unless you know the exact layout and themem she is going with that's the safest route.
Give him small gifts related to his business. But as a big gift be friend of him when he is in need of you.

Hope I answered the question ;-)

    Mustafa
How about a nice plant, like a potted palm, for the salon?
I don't know if this suggestion is too expensive but here goes...

I'm sure she could use one of those pocket PCs, a blackberry, or something electronic that allows her to keep a bunch of contacts and schedules at her fingertips. Business owners and hair stylists are busy people. I'm sure she'd love anything you get her because it's the thought that counts really.
perhaps you could offer to give the gift of time, your time that is ...

answering the phones, doing the laundry, sweeping up .in general just give of yourself.that would be the BEST-gift
Maybe a gift certifcate to a professional sharperner, they are always taking their trimmers down to get professionally sharpened, that is if those places offer gift certificates. The best gift would be to set up their first 10 appointments of business, like referrals but you find out his available times and you get 10 of your friends to go there.
shampoo., blowdryer, hair sye crap, comb, hair ties, straightener, um.................brush, etc

other than that i agree with the person above my answer
I would design and order a supply of business cards for her/him to give out--they might help bring new clients in.
I would not suggest getting her hair supplies. You could buy the wrong kind or that would cost a lot. You could buy her some pictures to put on the wall, some glass flowers with a vase,

or make her some business cards and pass them around to people. I would also suggest finding some old magazine like beauty hair makeup etc. to put in the shop. So the people will have something to read.
    Lots %26amp; lots of recommendations!!
~All of the hair she cuts off your head at the free appointment she should give you for patronizing the business. Or maybe the business card of a good bankruptcy lawyer.
    A pair of scissors. LOL!
A nice frame for her first $1 (or what ever amount it is now)

    A charm bracelet or pendant

A subscription or two for magazines

A lovely bouquet or nice plant
Flowers and/or a box of chocolates.
Buy her an ';open'; sign for her front window.
flowers and a a couple of hair magazines .
Well you did said ';gift'; so do they have all the essentials they will need? Those are high end ';gifts'; if you mean to give them something FOR the salon. Those things are usually purchased prior to opening so maybe you mean just a gift to say ';good luck'

Then plants or flowers are always nice. For a personal touch maybe you should be their FIRST customer.

Or give them a frame for their first $ to be placed.

A magazine subscription to Style or Hair would be nice for their clients.
It's up to you...my grandma owns a hair salon and she's better off than any of us! She couldn't make up an ';in'; hair style to save her life! This person you know is going to do well because she's going to capitalize on the ';well to do'; of your hometown. Jesus im drunk right now but drunks are honest, right...(lol) Anyway, don't give her too much special treatment. After all, when it comes to the business world, only the strong shall survive! The gov't calls this laze`s fair. (And i suck @ spelling). O.K. now that i've got all the pessimistic $H|t out of my system, i think all and all, your friend will do well, with or without your support. As of gifts...since she'll do well, get you'reself something...lol

Would you take your gay best friend to the salon to get a french-tip mani/pedi if he said he wanted support?

This is something I've wanted my whole life but I can't seem to convince any of my girlfriends to go with me. I don't care what other people will think of me, I just want french tips for the same reason any average girl would want them, to feel pretty and to fulfill a part of me... I've never been to a salon so I would want one of my girlfriends there for support. Would any of you do this for your gay best friend in this situation?? What if he offered to but you a set of your own? Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.Would you take your gay best friend to the salon to get a french-tip mani/pedi if he said he wanted support?
    of course i would!

    after all, their only nails

    why can't men have them?

+ if you want them so much who cares what they think?

if your friends are such good friends they'd take you right? :)

hope ive helpedWould you take your gay best friend to the salon to get a french-tip mani/pedi if he said he wanted support?
i'd would love it if one of my gay friends asked me to do that for them. i wouldn't care if he offered to buy a set of my own, it's not really the look i go for. but it would be so much fun to go with a gay friend to get his done.

i hope you get to the salon soon, good luck =)
Of course I would take my gay friend to get a manicure and pedicure if thats what he wanted to do. You are supposed to have your friends back in good and bad situations that's what friends are for.
No offence but getting french tips isn't really a big deal... no need to have a support team there with you. It's actually really weird to bring someone with you who isn't getting something done at the salon too.
I would. I wouldn't want anything in return. I think it's stupid that people will be a friend only in socially acceptable situations. Oh well, maybe one day eh??
    upuphu
Just do it at your house.
yes i would. i love all my friends and i would do anything for them!(:
why would you feel pretty with french manicure tips?
I never been to a salon either.... I would be supportive of my friend, hell even my own husband if he wanted something special like that. You shouldn't have to pay for your friends nail service, they shouldn't be getting any payment for being there, nor should they be bored in a chair. They should have their nails done too, an enjoy the moment. I wanna be your friend....I wanna go to the salon for the first time too. I would be scared of transferable nail fungus from GAWD who knows. Nails are just dirty, dead skin under them when we scratch an such. Actually garden dirt is not that bad, just think about it gives chills. I always tell my children that only monsters are in our nose and under our nails. I have been believing that for a long time.

Guy friend want to tagalong to the salon with you?

So your BEST guy friend wants to tag along to the salon to get his hair color refreshed (his dyed color looks better on him then his natural color) while you get your highlights and stuff. Would you let him go with you?Guy friend want to tagalong to the salon with you?

    Nails salon or friend?

My long time friend has passed as a nail techian and started doing my nails but im not that keen on them and she charges 拢18 if i go to a salon i pay that bit extra but they are worth the quality do i get them done by my friend or secretly go to salon how would i explain when she saw them?Nails salon or friend?
its best 2 go 2 a salon xNails salon or friend?
just tell her you were in a hurry to get your nails done and you didnt realise you already made an appointment to have your nails done and they called you to confirm, and you didnt want to be rude and cancel so you just went and had them done, but you will bare her in mind next time. hope that helps
Sadly you get what you pay for and its a shame you dont like the efforts shes made to make your manicure look good. However these professionals have probably been well established and know a lot about the trade. So a newly qualified person needs all the practise and encouragement she can get. So you need to have constructive criticism for her. She needs to be able to do it just like the lady at your fave salon so watch very carefully at the salon and ask the woman doing your nails how she does it or what technique is called. Maybe tell your friend how you like them done.
Maybe u should just be real honest with her and go that, u would rather just get them done at a nail salon, i mean not be rude about it, but just explain to her that she does a great job of what shes doing, but u rather just take the time to get in professionaly done, u know no ones pressuring u to do it, so do what YOU want to do u know?! =] so hope things go well thats kinda tricky and scary, i hate telling ppl things like that!!
give your friend some time experiance is the key she is newly out of school and she hasn't found her footing yet i have been a cosmetologist for 15 years and this takes time i am also bertified to do nails i infact do my own nails just work with her tell her you like them ';___'; how ever you like them and first of all if she is your friend she will try to do it the right way give her time she is new at it. the schools don't give her the expedrience she needs they give her the skills she needs thats it. wait a couple of months than you will see.
Maybe you should mention to her something like ';Hey I like the way this salon does their nails because _____. Do you think you can try to do them more this way?'; Or something like that. Give her chance she needs practice to become perfect so maybe if you tell her the way you want them she can work on doing them that way and then will become good.
It's going to be hard to do without hurting your friend's feelings....which I'm sure you don't want to do. If you are not careful you will make her insecure about her work. That being said, you still need to be honest with her....I wouldn't sneak and get them done, because I am sure she would notice lol. If she does them at home, tell her you enjoy going to the salon to get them done....something about enjoying the atmosphere. That's really the only thing I can think of, it would save your friends feelings and you wouldn't be lying to her exactly.
if shes good then get them done from her, but if not then just go get them done, she will understand, just say i was out and i thought what the heck

went in and got them done, simple it works (ssshhhhh) lol
either tell your friend how you would prefer them to look or go get em done and then tell her you felt bad but that is how u wanted them done.
Tell her the truth if she gets the hump she ain't your friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's your money so you should go where you want. You don't have to give a reason or tell your friend - it's your right as a consumer. Hope this helps.
just tell your mate she is crap,

I'm starting a salon with my friend....any suggestions on how to get things started?

First your going to need lots of money. As soon as you can do that, the rest is easy.I'm starting a salon with my friend....any suggestions on how to get things started?
If you already have your spaced rented and things lined up then they way to advertise is FREE HAIRCUTS! Perhaps you could go to a womens shelter and do some chairty work and just happen to call the local news channels......Do good things for others and help yourself while doing it. You also might consult someone from the small business bureau. They actually have mentors that will give you an overview of starting a new buiness. Also get an attorney to draw up an agreement, because it is not a good idea to do business with friends.....go to the bookstore and read up on starting a business from people that have done it.I'm starting a salon with my friend....any suggestions on how to get things started?
Hmm...you should always look online for an available building. Medium size. Not too expensive. If you have already purchased the building, painting and decorating walls and windows should come first. Then, you should buy the furniture. Just google search a store that sells salon things. My suggestion would probably be bed bath and beyond. Flyers come next. Create bold, creative flyers, including the name of your salon, and where it is. Put them in your neighborhood, and by the salon. Good Luck!!!
make sure that you have the right equipment that you need to use for the salon. Make sure that you don't run out of supplies either. Keep in stock. If you hire people, make sure you're hiring people who have experiences.

That's all I can do for you!

    Hope that it helps!!!

    :)
Pick up an issue of ';Sophistocate's Black Hair'; and they have a section called salon talk and it usually has tips about running a salon and it has toooooooooooooooons of great hair tips. Its like the best hair mag EVER!
How about you advertise through people you know, and maybe hold a small oarty with like free cookies and drinks or something for an opening day party. Maybe offer discounted services for a select days. Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK! %26lt;3

you can get him a card and some flowers, cake, or something for his shop, like maybe a customized apron for him to wear around or something. or just go on google or any search engine and type in gift ideas for hairstylist. i just tried it they have a lot of stuff.
Get him some nice [yet good priced] hair supplies. Like shampoo or styling gel or something for his new salon. Or buy him a cheap yet functional blowdryer or like hair straightener. Or maybe like a picture or something really cool to make his salon look rad =]
buy something little to go with the decor of his salon... like a wall clock with sissors on it or something

My friend told me about this nail salon in Hollywood that airbrushes things onto your nails like cheta print..?

but she doesnt remember the name of the place. i know there are other places like this does anyone know names of salons and prices? thanks! %26lt;33My friend told me about this nail salon in Hollywood that airbrushes things onto your nails like cheta print..?
My mum owns one called Liberty nails in Middleton, Mosrton and in ashton who does the same things but is better as it also does 3d art and american nails! My friend told me about this nail salon in Hollywood that airbrushes things onto your nails like cheta print..?
no im sorry i dont know, but thats so cool!!!
Nearly any good nail salon will do this airbrushing anywhere as they use a stencil to do the pattern..Just go to a local nail salon and ask if they do it...chances are they do....

I am confused how to give money to my friend who did beauty salon job..?

One of my friend did beauty salon job on me and she really made me look pretty...if i go to Salon they charge almost 50 dollar or more for that job..but she did that at my request at her home..now she hesitate to take money from me...i want to express her gratitude...and i feel so uncomfortable without giving her money..how can i give her without making her feeling uneasyI am confused how to give money to my friend who did beauty salon job..?
It is hard for some friends to hold out their hand and take the money from you. Even though they might need it.

Putting it in a thank you card would be easier for them to accept than to hold out their hand and take the cash that way. Would make them feel a little more comfortable. Maybe not as embarrassed.

Just hand them the card and say thanks, you can open it later. And leave it at that.

Or, if you don't want to do the cash thing, you could always give a gift card or take them to a nice lunch/dinner?

Your nice to be thoughtful and concerned.I am confused how to give money to my friend who did beauty salon job..?
If your friend is not happy to accept a cash payment then I suggest that you buy her a gift as a way of showing your appreciation - not the full $50 but just a small token.

If your friend really likes flowers, but her some; maybe a nice necklace or even a book she may have commented she would like.

Just simply say that it is a small token of your appreciation of the excellent job she did for you and you really appreciated the way she made you look and feel.
if it was a one-time thing then pay for dinner or a movie or something you would normally do together. this is what friend's do for each other. if you know she needs the cash, then buy her something she would have to buy anyway (fill up her gas tank or something).
My cousin is a professional beautician and she does my wifes hair. My wife just rolled up two twenties and stuck them in her hand. I guess if you insist, what else can they do. I always use gift cards myself if I'm not sure what to give.
    I'd send her a check in mail, explaining that you were so grateful, and you had to reciprocate her kindness someway, although you are my dear friend. And I'd add, '; don't be offended, please. ';

    Grateful, your name.

If I just got my hair dyed by a friend and it didnt turn out right. Can you go to the salon to get it dyed and

I tried dying it blonde but it turned out this icky red blonde that is nasty looking. So my mom said she is taking me to the salon the next day to get it re done.If I just got my hair dyed by a friend and it didnt turn out right. Can you go to the salon to get it dyed and
Yes, go to a salon and don't settle for anything less than bleach. Make sure they check it before they rinse it out. I have the same problem. I have a slight red tint to my brown hair. And, I've made the mistake twice at different salons who insisted they could bring up the ash blonde color I wanted without bleach with a less harsher product. I came out with bright red hair each time! Once I did this before I left for vacation and another time I did this before my wedding! I learn my lessons hard! Anyway, if you have the slightest tendency toward a red tint, you will need bleach and it will need to stay on probably longer than the average person needs. If I just got my hair dyed by a friend and it didnt turn out right. Can you go to the salon to get it dyed and
I don't think that will be a good idea, coz redying your hair will cause damage to it. ( due to harsh chemicals in the dyes)...If I were you, just wait it out 'till it fades. I'm sure its not that bad. Good luck
that is the best thing to do
    Hi:)

I totally understand. Some Salons won't touch it they'll want to wait because there afraid of further damaging it. I had the same thing that happened to me. I didn't wash my hair or go out in public for one day, then I went to a good salon and I explained I really needed to fix this, they fixed it right away and turned it into a beautiful shade of blonde. They did this by using a nice color and a toner! The most important thing you can do after you get this done is to get a good shampoo and

conditioner. From Sephora try Fredrick Fekaii Technician Shampoo and Conditioner, it will have your hair back to normal in no time. http://www.sephora.com/browse/brand_hier鈥?/a>

    Ciao*
Some salons will do it right away for you, but the salons that know what they are doing and care will not touch your hair for 2-4 wks because going blonde is VERY VERY damaging to your hair. They are the ones you want to fix your hair for you though!!
YOU COULD BUT IT COULD REALLY REALLY FRY YOUR HAIR IT WOULD PROBABLY BE A BETTER IDEA TO WAIT A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE GOING ALSO THE REASON YOUR HAIR TURNED RED IS YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO WETHER IT SAYS ASH IN THE NAME SINCE I'M ASSUMING YOUR HAIR IS DARKER SO LIKE ASH BLONDE OR LIGHT ASH BLONDE THAT WILL MAKE SURE YOUR HAIR DOESN'T TURN RED IF YOUR MIXING IT YOUR SELF MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR A BRASSER FROM A BEAUTY STORE ITS A LITTLE BOTTLE OF PURPLE LIQUID THAT STOPS IT FROM TURNING RED NEXT TIME ALSO BUT IF YOU CAN'T WAIT THE TWO WEEKS TELL THEM TO USE A DYE THAT DOESNT HAVE AMONIA IN IT SO IT WON'T KILL YOUR HAIR
that is the best thing to do.. i had my friend highlight my hair like 7 yrs back and the first time she did it.. it came out great but the second time she did it, it came out like **** so i had to go to a hair salon and have it dyed a shade dark than my natural hair color to fix it..

My best guy friend lost a bet, hair salon?

So my best friend lost a bet, and the deal is he gets a girls day. So i am thinking hair at the salon his hair is long like passed the shoulders I want his hair pretty femine. He has not cut it in over 2 yrs lol. Also i am thinking eyebrows and nails. Maybe makeup. So please send your ideas with links for hair, nails, makeup, eyebrows i am taking him to the salon on saturday its gonna be funMy best guy friend lost a bet, hair salon?
put him in a red dress too and video tape him so we can all see it on youtube xDMy best guy friend lost a bet, hair salon?
I really don't think you should be too hard. Don't make him cut his hair. Tell the stylist to come his hair, and maybe do an updo or a combover! Nails, I would say pedicure, so he can hide it at work/school. Makeup, well he will wash it off ASAP, so just put on a little blush, but make sure he doesn't know you did it. Don't be too mean though, you don't want to lose his friendship.

Is it gay for a guy to go to a tanning salon with a guy friend?

Not at all, unless you two are holding hands on the way in. Don't straight guys to go tanning salons together all the time?Is it gay for a guy to go to a tanning salon with a guy friend?
Only if you both get into the same tanning booth. Is it gay for a guy to go to a tanning salon with a guy friend?
no but heres a funny storie i have an aboriganal friend and we were walking past a tanning salon so we dared him to go and ask the girl how much it was for a tan you should of seen the look he got because he is black as the ace of spades. laugh havent luahged so hard for ages.
    Hell yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never mind the friend, going to a ';tanning salon'; is a ';gay'; thing to do.
Oh yeah double gay! the tanning salon for one and letting another dude know what your doing two
Going tanning has nothing to do with what you do sexually.
as long as you don'; dress like gay guy
Only if they hold hands and dance to Kylie Minogue
No Not Gay at all. Us women go to the bathroom together all the time and trust me we are not doing gay things in there. I think its great when guys make efforts to enhance their looks. The best attitude to have is yeah I tan AND WHAT? You should get some color too casper. If you act macho about it no one will think you are gay. Confidence is key baby
So now tanning makes you GAY??

Gotta re-enforce those homophobic stereotypes huh?

    Such immaturity astounds me...
    yes
Depends what you are thinking and doing.
No, it's just a tanning salon, it's not like you're going to jump into the tanning bed together!

  • My friend just opened a salon, she wants to promote her salon..?

can u suggest anything that will help her get more customers and make them come back? aside from flyers and good signage, good beauticians/hairdresser and good location which it is...My friend just opened a salon, she wants to promote her salon..?
I had a tanning salon and got quite a few customers via using Valpak. People flip through those all the time and love to find great deals and check out the ads. Plus is caters to the area you set, since most of the clientele will be fairly local and want something within a short drive. My friend just opened a salon, she wants to promote her salon..?
Get a website, it's like having an advertisement/brochure that is available 24hrs a day 365 days a year. It is IMO the most cost effective way to advertise and with more and more people turning to the internet to find business these days it makes sense. Try http://www.carboncookie.com business website builder, you can have a website online in minutes.
Well this is tough since most salon business is developed through great word of mouth, but here are a few ideas. A yellowpage ad would be a great first step (they can sometimes be a bit pricey, but remember people generally keep their phone books for a full year). Advertising in local colleges or high school publications (newspaper, etc...) could be a good way to attract that crowd, especially if she offers a ';student discount.'; Good luck!
I found a book through my local library that I was very impressed by. It's called ';Marketing without Money'; by Nicholas E Bade. You will find many ';outside the box'; ways of marketing any business without breaking the bank.
I agree with PBBandit, run ads in local coupon mailers.

I think that you will find that the magazine format generally outperforms the stuffed envelope format.
you should advertise on the tv and this will get u the customer but to make them come back u will have to have good hairdressers and beautician and will haveto give them discounts.
You can post your ads for free at www.zikbay.com. Visit this site and you can have your own free online store!
Try these two nifty little gems!!!!

If you are in a busy shopping precinct of even a Km (half a mile) or so from one, go see the boss of the few biggest employers in your area. Tell them you have a deal for their employees that will cost them next to nothing and is something of value they can give their people. Before this meeting you need to get some nice looking professioanlly laminated cards with the salon address, and details on one side and the words SPECIAL CLIENT, 10% VIP DISCOUNT, on the reverse. You pay for the cost of the cards and any costs the other guys incur and they distribute them to all their employees with the pay slips. This is a win for both parties you see, you get the clients, they think their company is great for being able to get them a good deal on styling etc at no cost and they feel important. Its critical that you look after them well as clients though.

Now the biggie. If you are really good at this stuff (the trade I mean) then put it out there. The way to do it is like this. Big sign, I mean big --- ';100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE';. Inside you display the term and they are, if someone is not totally satisfied with the service they receive for any reason, it will be redone free of charge by a different stylist (or whatever) free and we will give you a free gift to say how sorry we got it wrong for you. Interestingly, very few people will try to cheat you on this one, most people are in fact pretty honest with this sort of stuff. If you do get one come back, treat them like royalty, this is the one who will tell the friends.

Obviously more to this than can be written here but this should be a little start.

Best of luck with the venture. Jackson.

Dying my hair- friend or salon?

I'm kinda broke at the moment, but would like my hair dyed blonder as it's gone darker recently due to lack of sun!

So should I get my friend who often dyes her own hair to do it?

Or I could try and book an appointment to be a hair model at the toni %26amp; guy academy? Are they any good?

Thanks :)Dying my hair- friend or salon?
if your bleaching it go to a salon, it can easily turn yellow instead of blond if you dont know what your doing, going a couple of shades get the box- blond to dark might have that same effect

hair modleing you have to be 100% trusting and open with the stylists, they tend to do very trendy styles that a lot of people might not like on themselves. I woudnt do that because i am not good at making fancy styles to my hair so i wouldnt have time or talent to redo what they would do.Dying my hair- friend or salon?
Go to a salon, if your friend screws up your hair you could lose a friend. Even if her hair looks great, have a pro do it.
    Be a hair model.
well if she does it good and her hair isn't dryed out or anything go ahead but get the shampoo and conditioner she uses cos usually it depends on that so your hair won't dry out
    Um.

    Well it depends.

if the friend that did hers if it looks good then get it.

if it doesnt then go to the other place.
I would recommend you try a beauty college. They have teachers watching everything they do. You might even get the teacher to use you as a model. You might be waiting a long time to be a hair model for T%26amp;G or any other proffessional salon.

I do not recommend your friend does it. If you have previously lighten hair she could do a lot of damage.
I color my own hair all the time, You would be safer having your friend do Highlights, pull it through a cap type thing. There is less room for mess ups, and then you can save your money and have it doen when you can afford it
If you want to spend a hundred dollars on something you could do while having fun with your friend and only spending ten bucks, go to a salon.

If you would rather have fun with your friend and save a crapload of cash and get basically the same results, ask your friend.

But, you should use bleach, not dye, to get it lighter.
well since you're trying to get your hair lighter, i'd say go to a salon because your hair will have to be bleached and the hair bleach that you can buy at drugstores are suuuuper damaging to your hair. if professionals do it, it is MUCH less damaging.
ohh pleeasee go to a salon :/ self-dyed hair rarely even compares to a salon job

or be a model, that's even better ?! %26lt;3 good luck.

She's thinking about ';Stilletos';.. what do you think?? any suggestions? My friend needs a trendy name for her hair salon.. she's very outgoing and wants it to reflect her personality?
I like it but it sounds a bit deceiving as if it were suppose to be a shoe store. On the other hand, stilleto's in general are a very outgoing shoe type. Maybe you should try a play on words type thing. So many people go to places just for their catchy names!

Hey, there's nothing wrong at all with treating yourself to a good mani/pedi! I am gay, and I do get them, but not because I'm gay. They help you to keep clean and it's an easy way to relax yourself. I know MANY straight men, and even straight married men who get them. So, just chill. And as to what to wear; wear anything you're gonna be comfortable in. It is, after all, a day at the spa.
I am a straight married man, and I do get manicures from time to time. With that being said, a pedi is reserved for women, and gay men. So, from the tone of your question, should be for you!
FFS, go satisfy your fetishes somewhere else.

I'm sick of your stupid questions. They're not funny.

Girls: Would you be ok with your man/husband/boyfriend being friends with a girl he met at the tanning salon?

Lets say the girl works there, he tans there alot. One day its her bday, she is turning 21 and he offers to buy her a bday drink. He gets her phone number and an innocent friendship starts up. They talk on the phone, text eachother and thats pretty much it. Once in a while he might go hang out at a bar with her and just talk. COMPLETELY INNOCENT. You also know that he thinks she is very attractive. But you also trust that he wont do anything. BUT THE FACT IS that he hid this friendship from you for a month. WHAT WOULD YOU DO????Girls: Would you be ok with your man/husband/boyfriend being friends with a girl he met at the tanning salon?
I am sorry that you are having to deal with this. It is not fair for him to keep secrets from you. In a mature, loving, adult relatioinship it is each partner's job to be open and honest with the other person and certainly not do such things that bring about suspicion. Also, it is crossing a line if he has an emotional relationship with her--to me that is being unfaitful to you. Of course friendships are allowed, but since there was the element of not being open about this person, it brings about doubt. I think that he owes you complete honesty about this person. You should not be on the outside of their relationship looking in. You should be his best friend and partner that he shares everything with. You deserve that. Good luck.Girls: Would you be ok with your man/husband/boyfriend being friends with a girl he met at the tanning salon?
To be blunt, Sweet Pea, he should NEVER have done that. No b'day drink, no exchanging numbers, unless you were involved from the beginning. This sounds like much more. Consider counseling. He HID this from you. I'd never do that to my wife.

It would be ok if he met her and they became friends before you began dating. Otherwise no! And especially, the fact that he hid it from you, is a definite problem.
    hell to the NO!!!
Freak out. You have this amount of right... -Elphie-
Sounds like a scumbag to me! He hid this from you= not trustworthy= I'd dump him.
If it was innocent he would not have hidden it from you. Most guys, (not all) would hook up with their female friend if given the chance. Remember, it's the fact that he hid it from you that leads me to believe it's not just platonic for him.
I'd confront him, and ask him why he flirts with some chick like that, and ask him if she knows about me. They didn't obviously just randomly say 'LETS BE FRIENDS'; and give each other their phone numbers, there must've been some flirtng involved, and it was either him or her who started it. And if he talks to her on the phone more than he does to me or talks to her while I'm around, I'd be prettttttty mad.

My friend is in this situation right now and is VERY pissed off.
He wouldn't be my boyfrind for long
I would suggest the three of us get together for a drink to get to know one another. If it's so innocent and she's a nice person who likes meeting people, then one more friend on her list would be a good thing. Tah dah! ';-)
Hate to tell you hun.....but real men don't go tanning!!!!!!!! Matbe you should worry about what he does with his buddies or shebuddies!!!!
I would tell him to enjoy the company of his new girlfriend and I would find a man that doesn't feel the need to sneak around.
yeah coz that sounds innocent. (sarcastic)

Im strict when it comes to relationships.

I beleive that talking with friends and stuff that he knew before you guys got together is ok.

But when he starts making new friends of the opposite sex, when hes in a relationship with you and your not there, sounds suss. Its ok to make new friends of the opposite sex as a couple. But not when someone is taken and makes ';freinds'; by themselves.

Id be pissed, but thats just me.
spmething smells bad here to me. are ypu sure everythings functions fine in your realtionship? I hav this theory that a third person might appear when the connection with my partner is nt clear or deep or honest enough. mabe talk to your boyfreindand try o work on the connection with him.
the fact that he hid hid it shows something's going on... i woild dump his ***!!!
I don't think I'd like that situation... I would want to meet her and all three hang out... and if she didn't come across as a slut or real flirty... then I'd be cool w/ them hanging out... Guys dont hid things unless there is a reason. Most guys I know error on sharing too much details... if he thought there was nothing wrong with it he would have said ';I met this girl etc...'; I hate when guys say ';I didnt tell you bc I thought you'd be upset'; because they KNOW you'd be upset because there is usually a reason TO BE UPSET! But best of luck to you hun!!
tell him you dont like it when they hang out

even if it is innocent if he loves you and you tell him you dont like it he should stop
I guess he met a good friend with benefits or he is planning to upgrade his girlfriend with a young hottie. I can't be mad at him either way.
    Break his legs
I've done that........he's hitting it.......sorry don;t mean to be blunt but he's tappin that.

Best guy friend wants to tagalong to the salon with you and get his hair recolored?

So your BEST guy friend wants to tag along to the salon to get his hair color refreshed (his dyed color looks better on him then his natural color) while you get your highlights and stuff. Would you let him go with you?Best guy friend wants to tagalong to the salon with you and get his hair recolored?
Of course! Most girls love having someone to gossip and chat with while getting all those foils done. If you dont mind, why would she?Best guy friend wants to tagalong to the salon with you and get his hair recolored?
Why the hell would I be going to a salon in the first place?

But to answer the question, I'd say yes. If you personally don't mind, who is anybody to judge you? Not like I think your homo or anything, just if you don't think its a big deal it isn't.
What's the big issue? ...Yeah I would let him tag along with me to the salon ... But you are both guys hmmm maybe a bit strange but not really
yeah sure why not?is he gay?????
    You may as well!!

Should I let my friend dye my hair or go to a salon?

My friend is very experienced with dying hair (she has been doing it for years, and her hair looks really great) but do you think it is better to go to a salon?

also, I'm dying it blue, not a normal color.Should I let my friend dye my hair or go to a salon?
if you're friend is dying your hair blue that most likely means she has to bleach it first if you have a naturally dark hair color. i would suggest you go to the salon to get your hair bleached because its hard to make dark hair light and SUPER EASY to mess it up. if your hair is already blonde and she's just putting blue over it, let her go for it :)Should I let my friend dye my hair or go to a salon?
    let your friend do it.

It doesn't take much experiance to dye hair anyways. It's not a complicated matter.

If money's not a factor then go ahead and get it done at a salon, but that usually costs a lot, and they will be doing the same thing your friend is.
Salon. No offense to your friend, but if she messes up in the smallest of ways, it could mess up your whole head!!!
waoo....since its blue you should go 2 the salon cuz it depens n they have to tell uu!

I have 200,000. She can get the 200,000. So that's like a NICE top of the line almost half a million dollar salon. We are talking about..

So what things would you expect there.

    We already know

    *Massages

    *We will offer Botox

    *Self Tanning

    *Hair dressing

*Weight Lose ProgramA friend of mine and I are most likely going to start our own salon?
like facials and people to do eyebrows

What about waxing and facials and nail services? I don't understand the weight loss program. It doesn't seem like it belongs in a salon
You should put up T.V.'s in the salon so people can watch shows while you are doing whatever. And make the lighting so people look more tan if there is going to be tanning beds
    hair laser removal?

    waxing?

    nails spa?
sounds good. It also matters where you live.
yeah, so whats your point? did u just like want to put this on for the heck of it because theres really no questionnn.

I had a friend bleach my hair and it turned bright yellow. to make matters worse i went to a salon and they?

...dyed it red. Well, now it's pinish red with yellow highlights, kind of like when someone uses Manic Panic or another semi permanent dye and it fades out. My hair isn't damaged but it looks horrible. what color options could I talk to a stylist about and what should I do?I had a friend bleach my hair and it turned bright yellow. to make matters worse i went to a salon and they?
Your friend did not get all the color pigment out of your hair. But when you went to the Salon , the warm colors grabbed. If you use another permanent hair color, you will most likely have damage. You will need to put something on your hair that will even out your color and not damage it . Try some of the shampoos with hair colors. Try it . Then when it grows out, go to a professional to get it bleached.I had a friend bleach my hair and it turned bright yellow. to make matters worse i went to a salon and they?
Dye it back to your natural colour and add light highlights. Its nothing dramatic
You need to go to a reputable salon. (NOT borics or fantastic sams) ...go to a really nice salon like beauty first and have them take a look at it. You may need to wait a while before you put other chemicals on your hair or it can become really damaged and fall out. In the future, always ALWAYS go to a professional salon to do anything for your hair.. it may cost a lot more than doing it at home but its worth it---you have to live with your hair every day. Maybe for now you can wear some cute hats, etc but get to a nice salon on Monday.

I recommend beauty first- thats where I go.

    Good Luck!!
They need to fill the hair properly before trying to color it back to natural or desired color. After you bleach the hair, to go back dark you must replace what the bleach stripped out. Either go back to salon and demand they fix it...any reputable salon will make time for you to come in and fix it. Or try a different salon. Good luck.

Lost a bet to a friend and now must go to the nail salon and get whatever she wants, what should I expect?

The Colts won, but well the point spread wasn't quite what I needed. The bet was left pretty wide open and I know she likes to have fun at my expense a little bit, what's the worst she could do?Lost a bet to a friend and now must go to the nail salon and get whatever she wants, what should I expect?
She should get you something girly like this:

Nothing that can't be reversed. If you have to get acrylic nails, go out and buy acetone polish remover, soak cotton balls in it, and let it sit on your nails until it becomes gummy and you can peel them off. Just watch out for surfaces! (Acetone polish remover will strip surfaces). If you just get them painted, simply use non-acetone remover to get it off. If you have to get a pedi, sit back and enjoy it, then cover your feet if you need to. I probably would have bet against the Colts, too, so let her have her fun have take care of yourself after.
