My friend, 16, wants to go to a ';tanning salon';. Will that have any bad side affects on her?

I am trying to convince her not to do it cause i saw it once on TV how hings might go wrong in it and the bad rays, but i just want to have solid proof about this machine and wither it might hurt her in any bad way in a short or long term.My friend, 16, wants to go to a ';tanning salon';. The biggest and the most deadly effect of a tanning bed is skin cancer. Those who have the misconception of getting skin cancer from suntanning only should make themselves aware of this fact. The skin cancer may also occur because of using tanning beds. Your indoor sunless tanning is as harmful as suntanning. Thus, before lying on the tanning bed of your nearby tanning salon to attain the lovely designer skin, think once again.

The harmful UV or ultraviolet rays emitted by the tanning lamps and bulbs installed in tanning beds are behind the development of perilous Melanoma or Nonmelonoma skin cancers. Your over exposure to the lights of these tanning lamps and tanning bulb lights reduces your tendency to produce DNA. Another side effect of using tanning bed is premature aging of the skin. You damage your skin with every tanning session. Every tanning session sucks out the youth from your skin and you think you are looking beautiful. What an irony? My friend, 16, wants to go to a ';tanning salon';. Will that have any bad side affects on her?
the machine itself is fine. those tanning beds have to get inspected and be in 100% proper working order for public to use. the only damage is can cause, is harmful rays to your skin... just like the sun rays. you can get immature sunspots from sun and tanning beds. the machine itself is fine, but the rays are like the sunrays.. it can damage skin cells especially if you get burnt or do it all the time.
I found the below website address, I think it should be visited. A good friend of mine started laying in the tanning bed at 17 and unfortunate enough she has developed skin cancer in three different spots. As great as it is to be tan and beautiful, it's not worth it to develop skin cancer.
She should be fine as long as she doesnt get in the habit of doing it all the time. You are going to hear a lot of Pros and Cons about everything. You will probably like looking at her after her skin starts looking nice.
